    "Influential" doesn't mean "good" or "bad". No matter what your opinion of the people on the list, they are, in fact, influential. Plus, there's a difference btw "in America" and "American". The Pope is German, but that does not mean that he doesn't have influence over the millions of Catholics that are in this country,
